What do I need to look for in a good high chair

IKEA, the Antilop chair!!!! The EASIEST in the world to clean, easy to store away, it does the job and it's cheap cheap cheap! Seriously, they are fantastic, and I know I'm not the only one on here who thinks so

We bought another chair and while we use it, it is a %^(&% to keep clean. We bought the IKEA chair to use at the grandparents and wished I'd got another one for home.

Yes! The IKEA chair!! Easy to clean! Great height!

Easy to clean (no fiddly crevasses)...small footprint (ie doesn't have a huge base that you will always be tripping over)...good safety features (good extendable harness, stable enough not to tip over if toddler is climbing in, not fiddly bits where fingers can get caught)...size and shape of tray (I looked for one with maximum flat area on the tray - helps when they're a bit older and happy to sit up there doing pictures/playdough, etc). I also wanted one that I could store easily - mine folds flat - it's handy to keep in the shed for when guests with little kiddies come to stay.

I'm with everyone on the "easy to clean" importance.

We've also got a pain-in-the-butt to clean chair and it drives me balmy. It may look pretty, but my goodness it's ridiculous how many areas a wriggling 12 month old can smoosh food into

I got a cheapie from Toy r Us actually - it is fabulous!

Easy to clean, foldable, storable and maybe even transportable, good size try without too many groves and crannies to clean, detachable table and easy to clip harness.
Oh and height. I made sure that ours was the right height to be at the table without the tray on and close enought to the floor that if she was climbing on it it wouldnt injure herself if she fell.
