It depends. How old is the baby?? Is it time for them to go down for a night sleep or is this a nap?? Is it a one off or a new, common behaviour?? Is the baby over tired?? Or transitioning to needing less naps through the day??

    Enjoy the wine

I lie down with them and give them a BF. Well, that's what I used to do when my children were little. Or pop them in a sling if I had to get on and do things.

sorry girls mmm forgot a few minor details .... Alistair is 13 months old and after i wrote that thread i screamed for help from older brothers which they did and do you reckon i could find the a bottle with teats NO NO NO !!! i thought i was going mad... so i rang DH and told him ' he is throwing tantrums i camt find the bottle and im going to sream and where are you?' he said ' im nearly home but i think you need to calm down... the bottle cant have dissapeared (which was true). He said its probably back teeth coming through put bonjella and some nurofen ... i said good thinking .... I then said to DH 'you know i wouldnt hurt him i just went nuts as i couldnt handle the crying and then i couldnt find the bottle etc etc"

Alistair had bonjella nurofen and a bottle (but bit my finger in the process (but i wouldve too if i were him lol)

I do not lose it like that at all so im hoping its just hormones ... or im preggers and dont know heheh

These days, I just tell DS he can sit on my lap and we'll read more stories and wait for Daddy to get home. I wish I'd done that when he was younger instead of stressing about a set bedtime.

So long as the room's darkish and he's not running around madly, it doesn't really matter. DS goes to sleep beautifully now and I am sure that's down to me relaxing about bedtime routines more.
