What do you think will work best? what worked best for you?

We planning and hoping on B #3 so when we do have the baby my DS1 and DS2 will need to share a room as we will be living in a 3 bedroom house. The house we will be living in the rooms arnt the biggest. So what do you think is best to use

1:Have to seperate single beds for them
    2:Bunk beds (not so sure)
    3. 1 single bed that has a trundle so they both have somewhere to sleep when comes to bed time but the the trundle can get pushed back under when its not sleep time and they have room to play etc.

what best worked for you when your children shared rooms would like to see what people think and if you have any more ideas please share thanks.

When I was a kid my brother and I had to share a room, and what my mother did was used bunk beds, but not the traditional way, the higher bed along one wall with one end in the corner, and the lower bed, in the same corner but going along the other wall.
Is that a possible solution to the space issue?

    Hope this helped

Google bunkers. It's an australian firm in Melbourne. They have a fantastic range both online and in their showroom in Blackburn.

They have all sorts of space saving ideas.

We just got bunkbeds plus a trundle from IKEA, DS not born yet so is a while before he will be in bunk but bunkbeds plus the trundle gave us most options in terms of beds for visitors and longevity. Most likely DS will go onto trundle for a bit before DD is old enough to onto top bunk but we shall see, I think the notice on the bed says 7 and over for top bunk but I went into top bunk at about four and only fell out once when I was 18 (no wasn't drunk, just sleeping round wrong way to watch soccer)

We had bunks until the day my sister moved out of home I was 3.5 when our younger brother was born and we had a tiny 3 bedroom house so my sister and I shared a room. I slept on the bottom of the bunk and my sister, who was 6, had the top bunk.

We loved our bunks so much so I actually cried when my sister moved out and I finally had my own room and a single bed

i read today, bunks aren't recommended for kids under 9, i had never read any guidelines on this subject before. I've been wondering about getting one for bilby - but loft style, (so she could sleep on the top and have a play area underneath, which would be her desk/study later on - as a space saving measure in her tiny room).

she's great at climbing in playgrounds, but maybe the age limit is to do with falling out, when asleep? Nine seems a long way away. (five and a half years). sigh.

i had always assumed, from other houses i had seen, that kids used bunks earlier than nine. Maybe it's a public liability "just in case" thing. Wanting to avoid insurance payouts from accidents?
