Although she was a food hoarder... In her mouth. I won't go there though. It's too gross and I'm sure you want to keep your breakfast down

The funniest thing I ever saw was a bed hoarder who obviously woke up uncomfortable and took their pillow and slept on the floor!

My son has a tendency to hold onto "treats" for quite some time before actually eating them. He rarely gets sweet stuff, so I think he likes to make it last, hehe. One night he wanted to have one of the apricot balls my Mum had brought over. They are basically made out of dried apricot, condensed milk and dessicated coconut. I gave him half of one and he insisted on holding it while we did his bedroom routine. Then he took it to bed. I assumed he would eat it when I left the room. Wrong! I went in later to check on him and had to removed the sticky apricot ball from his fingers and hair! Eww!

Removing playdoh from under his head was fun one night as well haha.

He used to like to choose a couple of toys to take to bed with him (usually small ones, but a huge toy or toy would occasionally get an invite). Luckily he's gotten out of that habit now and thebiggest problem we have is trying to keep him under a blanket with the colder weather approaching.

DS loves trains! He loves all the train tv shows (not that he's allowed to watch much tv) and he loves watching real trains.

When we take him on the train he clutches his train ticket so tightly :-)

He sometimes takes them to bed too!

Very entertaining! So glad DS isn't the only one.

The four stuffed teddies are a given, plus blankie too. And then there's the revolving parade of whatever else takes his fancy at the time. We've had, among other things...kitchen tongs, Chux wipes, a screwdriver, a plastic bat, a pair of socks, a 'door snake', DH's hard hat and assorted toys (plastic bat toy, small cars, books etc). It's easier not to argue and just remove the sharp/dangerous stuff after he's asleep.

FWIW, when I was little I used to have up to 20 dolls/stuffed toys in my bed every night. Some were toddler sized and they ALL had to share my pillow, sheets and quilt. When I grew too big to fit them all in at once, I made a 'roster' and rotated them!

Yesterday I went to wake DD1 from her nap and she was asleep with her gumboots on! She'd gotten them out of her wardrobe after I'd put her down and then fallen asleep - under the sheets and all!

Its always a full house in my DDs' beds with a minimum of four pillows and three cushions, a soft princess doll, "Milo" (if any of you have read the book Milo Amadillo - my Mum knitted the girls one each), Jemima for DD2 and Humpty for DD1. They each have an enormous stuffed horse that's about a metre long and tall that is on the bed. Then its changeable as to who/what gets included - anything from jewellery boxes and snow globes to barbies, cars, trains, stuffed toys etc. They each have a queen size bed but they're always chokkas.

DD1 came into our bed the other night complaining that there wasn't enough room in her bed. Hmmmm. Funny that.

I was reading this thread earlier and thinking ," My son doesn't take much to bed." He has three soft toys (Paddington, Monkey and Humpty) and occasionally a train.

Tonight, as if he knew, he insisted ob taking a fairly large bead maze with him.

    These kids crack me up.

Haha This thread is awesome so so funny.

    DS1 sleeps with

    2 pillows
    1 doona
    1 blanket
1 quilt (yes all and he in warm weather sweats so bad but wont sleep until covered over sp we need to go and remove it all once asleep, good for winter thought)
2 seahorses thats bellys light up and play music! (my parents gave him 1 for 1st bday it was starting to fall apart and look a bit worse for wear when he was 2 and 1/2 and we bought him a new one but he insited in keeping BOTH)
    1 nemo soft tall
1 alien form toy story stuffed toy
    1 Wags the dog
    1 santa soft toy
    1 highland cow soft toy
until a few months ago was also a copy of his party invite for his buzz party he had last year but it got ripped LOL
Also 2 weeks ago he was screaming 1 night after I put him to bed and I went to see what was wrong and he gave me a blue penguin and told me to "take it to lounge its sick and cant stay here LOL" poor penguin never been invited back since.

All of these must be in specific places around him and if you even dream of forgetting 1 he knows and asks for it!!

Also regularly have other toys like trains and trucks in bed with him 2.

    DS2 Must have pillow
Must have 4 blankets with wiggles 1 on top (he has these off within 10 mins of falling asleep and to recover him wakes him up)
Must have CD player on with accoustic lullabys
    1 stuffed penguin
    1 seahorse like his brothers.

ME I just want space with no child in bed for a whole night!

At my sister's house tonight, so DD went to sleep in sister's bed without her usual plethora of toys. But she still managed to take with her one of her beloved Miffys (yellow, JIC you're wondering), a Disney Fairies torch and a calculator... all safely contained in a little zippered case thing

    these are too funny!

Tonight I was reminded that I'm always surprised if I find Moo in his bed...he is usually on the floor curled up under his bed! Now he has a different bed that he can't fit under he just lays next to it
