Not the same at all - DS is in 00 clothes and has size 2 feet, to go by his socks. Even at 5 weeks old he was too big for 00 shoes!
Due to foot development, please consider using bootees, not shoes, for outdoor play. Too rigid a structure on the foot, and certainly too tight a structure, will permanently damage the bones in the feet (take it from one who has been there and had the corrective surgery).
Yep I agree with Ryn, just use booties until he is ready to walk - then get his feet fitted correctly from a reputable shoe shop. Mackenzie has always been fitted professionally and although you pay more for their shoes it is so important in their younger years due to the bone developement. I usually buy a pair of sneakers and a pair of sandels each season and then for the back yard some gummies in winter and the k-mart valcro type (made of the foam/rubber) shoes for summer (very open and able to be adjusted for width across her feet) so if they get wet during water play then they dry quickly. I also get her feet sized often as they grow so quickly and you really don't notice! It's also important if they have wide feet not to squeeze them into the standard K-mart/Target shoes. I find Clarkes are great as they have inserts which you can take out when their feet grow so I find for us they last a full winter or summer.
Jack wears a size 3 but I just bought a size 4 so he would get more wear they are a soft leather
what about those little pull on shoes with the grip bottom, I know woolies sells them thats what I am getting Jack for the exact same reason you need them for you son
Thanks girls, and thanks for the tip Ryn I didn't realise about the booties-good to know.
I was thinking he must have HUGE feet- glad to know he is normal.
Jovie is 5 months and can't fit into the size 4 booties!!! Eeeekkk big feet!!! Robeez have great shoes/soft shoes which we love here. We have 2 pairs. Converse also have a bootie/soft shoe which is nice & hip
