    Question What size shoes?

Just wondering what size shoes babies generally fit into? My DS is 6mths old and I have started taking him outside with me in his walker.

.....So his feet dont get hurt on the cement Ive been putting shoes on him but all the ones I try don't fit him.

Are the sizes for their shoes the same as their clothes? He is in 0's and some 1's.

He is a long baby but Ive had to go to a size 4 shoe, which is a bit big but size 3 wont go on his feet?

Id love to know what size other bubs are in?

Not the same at all - DS is in 00 clothes and has size 2 feet, to go by his socks. Even at 5 weeks old he was too big for 00 shoes!

Due to foot development, please consider using bootees, not shoes, for outdoor play. Too rigid a structure on the foot, and certainly too tight a structure, will permanently damage the bones in the feet (take it from one who has been there and had the corrective surgery).

Yep I agree with Ryn, just use booties until he is ready to walk - then get his feet fitted correctly from a reputable shoe shop. Mackenzie has always been fitted professionally and although you pay more for their shoes it is so important in their younger years due to the bone developement. I usually buy a pair of sneakers and a pair of sandels each season and then for the back yard some gummies in winter and the k-mart valcro type (made of the foam/rubber) shoes for summer (very open and able to be adjusted for width across her feet) so if they get wet during water play then they dry quickly. I also get her feet sized often as they grow so quickly and you really don't notice! It's also important if they have wide feet not to squeeze them into the standard K-mart/Target shoes. I find Clarkes are great as they have inserts which you can take out when their feet grow so I find for us they last a full winter or summer.
