What would you do - bub sleeping arrangements

Thanks so much for all your help girls, I really appreciate it!

We're going to try to move his cot in this afternoon. Twice yesterday I found him in his bassinette with his head squashed right up at the end. It is a soft cloth basinette so he was fine but it is obviously time to move him out of it....such a shame, it's a beautiful bassinette (Mother's Choice Coco), the best I've ever used and he has slept so well in it

OK, so the cot fits, it's in! DH did it for me this afternoon. It's not exactly roomy in here any more but it'll have to do for now.

Tonight will be his first night in it so wish us luck! He's been sleeping so well I hope this doesn't put him off

Well so far, so good. He settled really well last night and woke twice for a feed. Had to resettle him once but that's not all that uncommon.

He just woke up after a 2 hour nap in his cot so I'm happy!

I think it's better for him actually because the cot is much more open than the bassinette and allows better air circulation. It's been realllly hot here the last few days and he was getting so hot and sweaty in the bassinette.

YAY, great stuff! LOL, I was just talking about the whole air circulation thing this morning at ABA, and saying that sometimes they can get really hot in their prams or bassinettes!

Janie - Yep, for sure. All of mine have been hot babies. We have to be careful with our Valco bassinette pram because they get sooooo hot in that thing! D has just about outgrown it anyway

He's still sleeping really well in his cot so think we can call it a success! Only woke once overnight last night....ahhhh....bliss (not so much for the boobies though )

Willow - FWIW I have Eva in a cot with us for over a month now. I have similar reasons to you for wanting her close. It works for us so far. Goodluck

Thanks Bek. We've had a few rough nights the last week or so but I think that is mainly due to the heat (was 40 here yesterday, and still 29 in our room at 4am. He woke like 4 times, which is unheard of for him) and the fact he's just cut two teeth. I don't think it has anything to do with where he's sleeping.
