We don't have one .... our flat is very small so there is no way we wouldn't hear her. The only time I wish we had one is if I need to go outside to hang washing or take out rubbish, so it doesn't seem worth it. We went to a party a month or so ago and someone said "do you have a baby monitor?" The Bear said "yes - one on either side of our heads"!
