I planned to have DS in our room in the cradle for at least 3 months or so, but we ended up moving him into his own room at about 1 week old. He slept heaps better straight away....and so did we. Neither DP or I could get any sleep with DS making all his normal little baby noises through the night. And he disturbs very easily too, so we didn't have to tiptoe around anymore. He's right next door to us so we hear him when he wakes.
