your fiance is right. personally we moved angelica sometime around 5 months (when she got too big for the basinette). but that was because we all slept better when she was in a seperate room (her included). i had the baby monitor up as loud as possible and would check her constantly to begin with. but i can definitely understand the urge to have them in your room for as long as possible - it is a completely individual thing.
