Anyway my dad has her business card with web address on it so I will get the web address if its something you think you want....

They do look nice but just dont know about how you would go actully eatting your childs face

There's a really nice looking cake shop at the Hampton Park shops. Not sure what it's called but it does all sorts of fancy cakes for occasions.

Hey kaz here is the link if you want to put a photo on the cake...

    Home

As for number cakes the only way I ever make a cake in a number is with chocolate ripple cake you know the one made with chocolate ripple bickys and cream... I just make the the cake in the shape of the number I want then stick smartys on top... I know not very imagetive but the best I can do.... I think I have a photo of on I did somewhere I will have to go and see if I can dig it out and post it here... I will be back...

Ok here is the cake I made DS when he was 5

    Hey Karen!

The other ladies suggestions are all good places... there is also the Cheesecake shop (I know the one in Berwick, but can't think if there might be one closer?) they do nice cakes too! You might even be able to have a look online & order something...

Otherwise, just your standard bakeries are always good too...
Or you could just buy a plain sponge from the supermarket & decorate it with lollies or something yourself...

I had the same dilemma with my DD, I made DS's cakes & then was running out of time with DD & was going to buy something, but I ended up making hers instead... I would of felt terrible making DS's & not DD's... lol, but thats just me!!

I made a really simple number one cake with lollies and My Little Pony's on it...
I will show you a pic if you like!?!

    Good luck!

OK girls, so you are starting to swing me around to the idea of making it myself! I am capable (but maybe lazy!).

Tali that cake looks great, also had a squiz at your other pics and oh my god, your belly gets huge when you are pregnant!

Thanks for the suggestions. I live at Hampton Park, Satya where is the bakery near?

OK, how do you add a picture? I will show you Mia's brithday cake I made. Can you buy a number 1 cake tin? I just cut a sponge in the shape of a 1 last time, and then decorated it myself. I am not leaning towards doing it myself, cause I dont think it looked that bad from memory!
