I can't do it either. Though I will leave Jazz to whinge for a short time if I know she's not actually upset but just seeking attention, I do go into her straight away the moment the whinge changes to a cry.
I know some people have had success with it but many haven't and frankly I find it traumatic and it breaks my heart when Jazz is really upset, I can't leave her for more than 1 min to cry.
