All the brochures we get from school say the best treatment is a thick thick coating of conditioner through the hair and leave for about 10 mins as it stuns the actual lice and also makes the eggs easier to get out. Then go over and over and over it with a fine tooth nit comb before rinsing out the conditioner.

It is such an arse of a job so goodluck. Also they cant live for more than a few hours from the head so dont over stress about the sheets and alike as those buggars would be dead by now :
