Once you have children travelling is a whole new ball game and IMO every age has its own set of challenges when it comes to travelling. I was a bit worried the first time I had to travel with a baby but I thought that if I let it put me off I wouldn't leave home again until they did lol.
At 8 months bubs should sleep really well in the bassinet and the airlines usually look after people travelling with babies fairly well.
