Is your 12 month old baby walking?

This poll is to see if your 12 month old baby is walking. Please note that all babies develop at different rates and there is no "right" when baby will be walking. If you are concerned at the rate of your baby's development, please consult your doctor.

I got a lazy butt here just like his mother lol. Kameron started walking at aged 18months and 3 weeks. Of course he decided he would start the day he gets babysat rofl.
He has now been walking for 2 weeks and 1 day and is now preferring it to crawling.

hi. my lil girl was walking at 12 months (just) but my friends baby who is the same age (now 17 months) isnt yet but is cruising. She also took much longer to sit up unaided but seems to be a bit brainier than my baby!! lol.

my 1st and 2nd children walked at 10 and half and just before 11 months.

My 3rd did everything before them, she sat earlier, she rolled earlier, she was pulling herself up on furniture at 7 months and walking around the furniture at 8 months. We naturally thought she would walk befor xmas, before 10 months. She on the other hand decided that crawling was safe and spider crawling is super fast. She took 14 step at 11 and a half months and now, just over 12 months is a little more confident to take off by herself. Tongiht she has walked the most she ever has.

Just goes to show they have a mind of their own, and no type of encouragement could get her to do it before she was ready.

Jayden only started walking unaided at 13 months.

He used to cruise around the house pushing the kitchen bin or any thing else he could push.

    you bet he's walking!!!

    Hi,

My 1 year old (well he wil be one on 31st March of this year) started walking yesterday!!! He's been cruising for about 3 and a half months now and standing on his own for 3 weeks, then suddenly yesterday he was standing infront of me and he took 3 steps towards me!!! He did it several times throughout the day - so now he wants to do it everytime he stands up!! lol =D>

I didnt think i'd get this escited about it - after he's my 4th (all boys!!!), but you get just as excited with your 4th as you do your first!!!

    Cheers

Hi, Jack is great at pushing his stride to ride around. He has walked right up to our dam and halfway down our drive which is no small distance! He still isn't walking by himself as yet and he is 14 months old!

Hi - Caitlin walked at 15 1/2 months - just got up and went, didn't cruise much or try to walk unaided before.

No one told me how much your heart leaps in your chest when they do it for the first time.

Maddy was walking unaided at 10 months & everyone told me I was such a cruel Mum, coz she is/was so tiny, but how do you get a walking child to stop walking for other peoples sakes!???? #-o

Matilda's not one yet...but I thought I'd vote anyway...because she's walking unaided....and did something hilarious today, she tried to jump.

Aidyn has been cruising furniture since before 11 months old. And started walking unaided just after his 1st birthday, and now at 13 months is getting steadier and more confident doing it, but at this stage I still think he finds crawling easier than walking. Though he prefers walking if he is able to hold one of our hands.

Felix took his first steps just before he turned 11 months, but still likes to hold a finger, he can walk but seems to lack the confidence (he has had a few face plants) this is at nearly 13 months

Lily pulled herself up onto furniture at 9 months old and start cruising around 10.5 months old but has no interested in taking that first unaided step. She is 1 week away from 12 months and will gladly walk(very well i might add) if we hold onto both her hands but soon as we let go she will panic and sit straight back down. So looks like she'll be a late one!
