12month check up

Hi my son turned one last week and had his 12month immunisations. I thought they were supposed to have a 12month check also. All the doctor did was the injections and said see you later.
Should I take him to a child health nurse to check him out?

my DR never does DD health checks, i see our MCHN!

Shan, when DS had his needles, the doctor came in and gave him a check over, checked out what he could and couldn't do (ie, he can stand, but not walk yet) and just general developmental things that he is supposed to be able to do.

Then the nurse gave him his needles.

I was just going to recommend my docs if you were near Nambour - they are the BEST ones that I have been to on the Sunshine Coast - and I've tried ones at Caloundra, Maroochydore, Buderim, and nearly all the ones in Nambour. There are some ok ones at Coolum as well - but my docs in Nambour are by far the most caring ones EVER. Just in case you needed a recommendation
