booster seats??

at what age did you put your child into a booster seat???

im not looking to do it for a few months but want to know when you made the change over??

also what is a good one to buy??

im not sure exactly what you mean by booster seat...

I put DS in a sns maxi rider when he was about 14 months old. HTH

how old is Maddy, the longer she can stay in her car seat the better then move her up to a safe and sound maxi rider or something similiar she can then stay in that till apporx 7 years old

my bubs 13months old and weighs 13.5 kilos, she is a big girl and seems to be getting to small for hers already, i want to try and leave her in there for as long as poss, but i m not sure how long that will be,

So i would be interested to know what others have done too!

thats why i asked as maddy is just over 12kgs at the moment and i was looking at her today and she seemed so big in it and her head was over the top of the car seat and i was thinking it cant be safe!! or am i just being parniod??

hey we are in the same boat then! Big Bouncing babies! I mite head into a baby shop and do a little research! It should all be stated on each of the different types avail hey! when i find out more ill let you know!

Hmmmm DS was 82 cms at his last check up (2 months ago) and 12 kgs. He is now 20 months and still in his normal car seat. I know that my car seat (a safe and sound one) goes up to 18kgs.

I hadn't been planning on getting a booster seat for awhile yet. Perhaps I should be?? I had a look at the maxi booster and they are from 8kgs through to 26 but there is no way I'd be comfortable putting an 8kg bub in them! They look really cool though they are a bit expensive!!

what i meant was, i wasn't sure if you were asking about booster seats for a 6 year old or booster seats for a 1 year old, i did realise that you meant seats for the car lol
