Basically, all you have to say is; "it's my child, i'm her mother, i would never put her in any sort of harm, if this is what i want to do, then i honestly think it's in the best interests of my daughter"

I can't stand how people automatically think that their way is better. And even at 5-6 weeks along for me, i have already been getting critisized about my choices about my pregnancy. I've opted for an elective c-section because of a health condition. And even though i could do a natural birth, depending on how my body is at the time of birth, i'm not going to take that risk with my baby.

My mother took the same road as you, and i missed out on some of the first immnisations and i have an amazing immunity system. While a few friends of mine who got all the needles, have bad immunities.
Babies bodies need to make some of those antibodies themselves. I don't believe in getting kids immunised for chicken pox or the measles. If children don't get those when their young, they may get them when their older. because while chicken pox or the measles, to a child might make them sick and spotty and pull them out of school while their young for a couple of weeks. If they get older and haven't had those sicknesses, and then get them, the chance of them being fatal is dramatically increased. chicken pox and measles are fine for kids, but not for adults or the elderly.
When i had both of them, i couldn't go near my father, because he had never had them, he had to move out for the three weeks i was sick.
And if my bub ever gets them, my partner ashley has to move out for the time while their sick, because he never had them.

The whole issue depends on what your beliefs are, do what you think is best for your child, because she's your daughter, and you'll do exactly what you think is right. Bugger anyone else

Thanks for the clarification, KateO7. I am glad to read it. However, for my MIL, knowing that any cell lines were originally derived from an aborted fetus would be more than enough to turn her off!!
Personally, I am more concerned with the live cells used to culture the other vaccines- monkey's kidneys, bovine calf serum, genetically-modified yeast cells, chick embyos, etc.
These are all very foreign substances to the human body. There is increasing concern about the effect these substances have, particularly when injected straight into the blood stream - bypassing the usual route of administration for infection- the mucous membranes (aka mouth & nose). The way the body develops antibodies is far superior and long-lasting when exposed via the mucous membranes than via the bloodstream - which catches the immune system off guard.
Anyways- this is off topic so I won't dribble on......

Thanks guys! I've got some good statements from you.

I never knew about the aborted fetuses! Makes me even more secure in my decision.

What's the difference if it's already dead?? Its cells. If it will stop my baby getting whooping cough, who is ALIVE, then I will take that.
Also not all 'aborted' babies are aborted because they aren't wanted. Some are spontaniously aborted, others need to be aborted for medical reasons.
You make immunising seem bad when you say it all like that, which it isn't.
If I had to abort my baby, I would prefer his cells go to keeping other children healthy and stopping these horrible diseases from circulating.

And no I have nothing against not immunising.
