That really doesn't sound right, I'm of the understanding it's just a normal check up so she should be able to take her child to any bulk billing clinic.

if she has a CO form signed then she should be eligible for same bnefits as a fully vacc'd child.

She has the CO form, but is still being told she has to pay, only because the gp won't be getting the extra money for the immunisation to go with the check up.

DD2 had hers last week and while she had her 4 yr old vax at the same time, there had been lots of carry on about whether I was going to the GP for the vax or if I would go to the health clinic for it and just the GP (actually the nurse) for the health check. was never told that I would have to pay if I separated them. I was also told that some child health nurses could also do the health check so might be worth her looking into.

Sounds a little odd to me - like maybe they're trying not so subtle pressure to get her to have the vax under the threat of paying otherwise

Could she go to the mchn instead? Sounds dodgy to me...

I had the MCHN do ours, & suggested that she do the same. MCHN said she would, but she couldn't give the official form or something
    (Different area to me)

there is no form if it's for the c'link stuff - the MCHN can sign their book to say it's been carried out. that's all that is needed - as long as it's signed and dated to show the check was done. Locally, I think nearly everyone i know gets these checks done through the MCHN...

not sure if it's different for them starting school.
