She has the CO form, but is still being told she has to pay, only because the gp won't be getting the extra money for the immunisation to go with the check up.
DD2 had hers last week and while she had her 4 yr old vax at the same time, there had been lots of carry on about whether I was going to the GP for the vax or if I would go to the health clinic for it and just the GP (actually the nurse) for the health check. was never told that I would have to pay if I separated them. I was also told that some child health nurses could also do the health check so might be worth her looking into.
Sounds a little odd to me - like maybe they're trying not so subtle pressure to get her to have the vax under the threat of paying otherwise
I had the MCHN do ours, & suggested that she do the same. MCHN said she would, but she couldn't give the official form or something
(Different area to me)
there is no form if it's for the c'link stuff - the MCHN can sign their book to say it's been carried out. that's all that is needed - as long as it's signed and dated to show the check was done. Locally, I think nearly everyone i know gets these checks done through the MCHN...
not sure if it's different for them starting school.
They need to use a code to bulk bill it - the code is for the check up AND the 4yo needles. When you DON'T have the needles done, they need to use another code to bill it. It isn't hard.
Tell her to go elsewhere, but it IS bulk billed, I know this because we just had it done. The CO form has nothing to do with this.
Where is she in Perth? I can give you the details of my clinic if it is any help.
