Well we are all entitled to our opinions and even to express them, aren't we? This is a forum that encourages discussion of different approaches to parenting. I am not aware that I have been rude (I am certainly forthright, though), and I am sorry if you are offended by my opinions. I am reading every response to this and other similar threads with great care, because I want to better understand why people make the choices they make.

At least I haven't resorted to calling anybody names...

And of course I consider this to be, in some ways, a personal discussion. It is certainly something that I take much more seriously now I am a mother. The reason is that people's decisions not to vaccinate their children increase the chances of my child becoming ill from something she is not yet old enough to have the vaccination for. Reaching and maintaining herd immunity is the point of the exercise.
