    Re: Sleeping in 1.5hr stretches..

I find it hard to co-sleep as my partner sleeps like a log and flings his arms about a bit. I worry he will hit her... Also, I am so tired lately that I don't feel safe having her on my side in case she falls out. No one really to help out during the day, all our family are in NZ and friends are working, busy with their own kids etc. the older ones do go to daycare on Friday, but I'm forever chasing my tail with cooking, cleaning and washing, so usually try to catch up a bit on this day, I know I shouldn't bother but at least I feel better if I accomplish something other than just child care.

Thanks ladies for your replies. At least I'm not alone, it sure feels like it at 1am, then 2.30, then 4.....😁

Lots of babies do this. Sleeping together is often the best way to maximise the amount of rest you get - it's still tough, though. Getting up and down all night means even less sleep. Could your partner sleep elsewhere for a while? That's what we did.
Food doesn't help. Both my kids did this for quite a while. You survive it and it does get better, but it's hell while you're in it. What helped me was to let go, stop trying to fix the unfixable (nothing wrong with the kids, the problem was mine) and just do whatever helped me. So bed sharing, sleep ins on weekends when my partner was around, rest whenever I could, and so on.
Child care is accomplishing something! Don't write yourself off
