My 11 month old has had her first injection (little one's have to have 2 injections at least one month apart). She had no reactions apart from the normal slight pain at the injection site, a little unsettled for a few hours afterwards.
My DH and I have also had the swine flu vaccine and we wanted to protect our little one especially as we were at the time about to go overseas to the US.
So my experience is nothing but positive. My sister's 18 month old also has had it and the only side effect he had was some runny poos after the second injection.

we havent but my friend got her DD done (shes 11 mnths) and she had a severe reaction and ended up in hospital!!! also my DH said at his work a few people have had bad reactions and he said theres no way he would get us or the kids done. thing is, alot of reactions go unreported, so the stats are just not there. give it some serious thought, especially with a bub.
we have not done Chakotay but did our other kids ds is 19 months dr said to me your not getting him done are you talking about chakotay. Maybe as he was not yet reached corrective age...we did not get him done but we all are done. He now has a cold like symptoms.
Squid - it is only given to babies over 6 months oldThey won't give it under, but the rest of you who are in close contact with him should be enough.
Your breast feeding will also help![]()
We all got ours done two days ago, my DD who will be two in may got it done and she had a few temps that night but for her that is normal when she gets injections. We went and got it done as i work with children and I am pregnant and both of these are highly reccomended. They gave me a leaflet to look for sideeffects so i was not concerned. They also will not give it to them if they are allergic to egg etc.
I suppose its like anything its a risk to do it and its a risk if you don't. Alot of people are against it but i feel in my situation it was best for my family!! I also think any injection can have serious side effects its just something that you need to deciede if you are to get it done or not! Goodluck
Hope this helps
