Fill a basin with water, plonk it in the middle of the kitchen floor (in the aircon) and add various kitchen implements, sieve, cups, ladles, etc. You will need to mop up (and supervise of course!) but this water play will keep your little one entertained for ages!

Otherwise - think about places like the library, the museum, local play centres - they're all airconditioned!!

I've been filling up a baby bath with a little bit of water, and putting it on the kitchen floor on top of a towel (so I dont make puddles and slip over later on) and then I give Claire some some plastic cups, funnells etc and she just pours water in and out of the cups and funnels. She loves it!

Or I also just put cool water in the bath and she splashes around.

I've also gone to the library to take advantage of their air con, lol!
