I'm not with anyone, but I wanted to drop in and say that I had a bad experience with Allianz two cars ago. Brother's friend borrowed my car, wrote it off, it cost her $1750 in excess (young, un-named on the policy etc) so fair enough, but that they were SO difficult to deal with throughout, and my car actually went missing for two days - between two car yards nobody knew where it was, and the call centre were incredibly unhelpful.
With our next car, we spent a little bit more, but was completely worth it when we were involved in an accident a few months down the track. I think that was with AAMI, but can't specifically recall. May BBL to update (when I can drag myself away from this sunny spot!)
Our cars, house and business are with QBE, DH recently got rear ended and they were good to deal with. I know AAMI has the option of increasing your excess to decrease your premium, might be worth looking into.
Has anyone ever had insurance though ING? Im also looking into insurance for the car i have bought this week and have no idea who would be best to go through.
ANZ (bank) is surely cheapest by far from my research, and their insurance is ING. not sure how it works exactly but when you insure with anz, ING has something to do with it.
