Well I have been in to visit today and she is a stunner!!! Danni asked me not to post a pic coz she has sooooooo many already and wants to wait until she can post the ones she likes. she does look quite similar to my Emma though, but with smaller ears .

She is neonates due to distress and was not breathing when she was born because she had inhaled some menconium. Danni got a fever at the end of her labour which caused the distress. i will leave some for her to tell when she does her birth story though.

When we went to pick up our girls from my IL's (couldn't take the kids in coz no toddlers allowed in neonates) i was amazed at how much bigger they are! Jacinta is very long but slender. a bonds 0000 wondersuit is loose around her belly but just right for length! she also had her first bowel movement post birth while we were there. Danni was not impressed that it was so big!

Jacinta is currently being tube fed as she needs to build up her strength to suck, and Danni would prefer the privacy of her hospital room over the openness of the neonates. she is having EBM with formula topups at this stage and is taking approximately 20ml per feed. she is also on IV antibiotics.

Danni is doing well, recovering quite well IMO. she is having panadol and voltaren only and they seem to be doing what she needs. Danni hopes to be able to come home with Jacinta on Monday or Tuesday, but that depends on Jacinta and how BF establishment goes.

I am Very proud of her for doing so much of the labour before asking for the epidural, and she baked a gorgeous baby
