Maia is here - born 16th December 2007

Hi everyone from Seattle Washington where the entire family now live, including our newest edition Maia who was born at 7.25 pm December 16th, 2007. She weighed a healthy 3 kgs even though she was born at 35 weeks gestation.

Both of us are doing well considering we were kicked out of the hospital after two days, even having had a caesarean section - can you believe that!!!

Congratulations to all those who have given birth recently and also to those of you who are expecting. A special good luck to those who are trying, and know that my wee poppet was born after me having had many rounds of chemotherapy and radiation, still having bone cancer, and to top everything off I had my tubes tied three years ago!!

So girls NEVER EVER SAY NEVER.

Congratulations on the birth of Maia! Great to hear that you are doing well. The hospital stays really aren't very long these days are they....Mum tells me that she was in hospital for 10 days after giving birth...Somewhere in-between might be a good length!

Congratulations. You've certainly beat the odds!!! I love her name.... it's one of the ones we are considering if ours is a girl.

congratulations on the safe but early arrival of baby Miai!
geez thats a bit rough though being discarged after 2 days when having a c/s and Miai being 5weeks early?! glad you are all doing well
