For me it wasn't until 5 1/2 months after DD's birth that one side of my hoo haa suddenly improved, a week later the other and dtd stopped feeling like razor blades of agony. I was as shocked as you, expected it to be fine after the 6 weeks. My Dr said it can take some women up to a year, it depends how you heal and your scarring. 7 weeks is early days. Just take it slow, try it once a week until you're comfortable, use lots of lube, be on top so you can control penetration and rest assured it WILL get better!! You can go get checked out for your scar tissue just in case that's an issue or there's an infection if you're worried or it hurts at times other than dtd.
