k i went to my hossy appt today and i told the nurse bout the ripping feeling n the sharp lightening pains down there... she said its prob bub moving down its quiet common..
i then laid down to get my measurements and she felt for her head and commented" Geez no wonder u can feel those pains n that her head is right in there.. its 3/5 engaged.. i dont even think u will make it too ur next appt..." me"YAYYYYYYYYYYY"" lol but thing is she is one of those vague midwives and does ur appt really quick and sends u out...
just wondering does anyone know what this means??
she also said i can go whenever now so ladies IM READY!!! what can i do??
i walk non stop im constantly chasing my son round literally
sex is becoming soooooooo uncomfortable sometimes i wanna cry thats how bad it is..
    ive been cleaning like crazy...
    so tell me what else???

3/5 engaged is down there all right I know the pains you're talking about. But DS3 was 3/5 engaged, then he'd pop himself up a bit, then down he was like a yoyo But you still could go any time.
Hmmm...well sex is usually helpful, but in my experience the more you want it to happen ASAP the less likely it is, murphy's law you know. Maybe you should try planing a trip or dinner party, bub would surely make an early appearance then to muck up your plans
I've heard a good curry can help, or chilli, nipple stimulation...I can't think of anymore at the moment.

hope you get it going soon

this nipple stimulation thing im not clear on ppl say its good if u use a breast pump for 15 min on each side n its not just the nipple that ur working on.. but im worried if i get my milk going n i dont start anything but the milk lol
and the acupuncture im too scared of lol im a big chicken but is that anywhere they do it?? is it especially for preg.

Accupuncture works by putting tiny needles in specific points. So they use different points for different things. It shouldn't hurt. The needles are tiny, the only time it hurts is if they get it in a little too far, shouldn't happen too often. (It's only happened twice to me and I've had hundreds of needles stuck in me.) If you tell them it hurts they adjust it and it doesn't hurt anymore. Finding a good accupuncturist is the key. Hope that makes sense

with the nipple stim, I just played with my nipples for a few mins. Lol til I had a BH. Next morning my waters broke. Possibly coincidence but worth a shot?

I'm pretty sure the pumping would only get you colostrum. I had colostrum from about 14 weeks and never saw a drop of milk. I think it's the hormones that make the actual milk come in after a few days.

    HTH.

With the 3/5ths engaged, it's a way that the miwife can locate the position of the babies head in the pelvis. The midwife or Ob will feel put their fingers/hand right in the pelvis under your belly and try and feel the babies head. They measure this from 5-1 (fiths). Meaning that a baby at 1/5th is basically at the pelvic outlet and then as the babies head lowers in your pelvis, so do the numbers. So being 3/5ths would mean that yes your baby's head is in the right place and still has about 2/5ths until she is fully engaged.
HTH, and good luck, sounds like things will be happening soon!
