Accidental homebirth?

Cause I am a bit scared. I ahve really learnt alot here but still dont know if I could take the plunge? So if it was unnaviodable I would just have to deal with it IYKWIM?
DH would support me no matter what but still a tiny bit frightend?

babe - we could have a "birthing party" when you go into labour and if you don't happen to make it to the hossy in time I think we could muddle our way through.

CQ has had 3 kids, I think between the two of us we could work something out

I understand that, I'm the same. Maybe if i were to have more (not going to happen, #3 will be our last) I'd be ready, but not quite there yet so going with a hospital birth.

The thought has crossed my mind too because my labour was so quick with DS (well compared to DD anyway) and the only reason I went to the hospital when i did was because bub hadn't moved for 2 hours and I was concerned. Otherwise I would have stayed at home a lot longer - I was somewhat in denial that it was the 'real deal' after being sent home twice during labour with DD. I didn't understand how it could happen so fast the second time around.

But I live 5-10 mins max from our hospital so this baby would have to be a a really big hurry! LOL.

This CAN happen! My sister had her first two babies in sub 30min. The third she was 5min away from the hospital, got there, into the delivery ward on the bed and that was it. 4, 5, 6 - all happened at home. She got no warning at all. The first indication she got she was in labour was her waters breaking as the head descended into the birth canal. Her partner delivered all three babies at home in two contractions. Number 7 they induced early so it wouldn't happen again.

I have a feeling I may end up with a homebirth - but I don't want one. So, I'll be calling the ambos.

I may not be left with a choice.

I never had any pre-labour and it was all over very fast. I'll have to be super fast with my dialling finger.
