Maybe just not tell him anything about the birth from now on. That part is about you and your body. I would just deflect any questions and not enter into conversation with him about it (i do it with people in my own life who just don't need to know details).

I know breastfeeding does impact on visitation, especially in the first 12 months, but don't know specifics.

It's not just to do with breastfeeding.

Under 12 months, I don't think any judge would order overnight stays away from the main caregiver.

If you google 'contact child under 12 months family court', transcripts of judgements will come up whereby Judges have ordered it.

Hi - sorry in my other life this is my research area - the family law is being reassessed in this regard as there's a great deal of evidence that shared custody under a certain age and especially in a conflicted situation is detrimental to children. I'm happy to provide research links </nerd>.

I had heard that under 12 months overnight and unsupervised visits are not usually granted. And I would hope this especially applies to someone who can't even take care of himself right now :-(
