Firstly great big :hugs:
Secondly obviously you know that every baby and pg is different so noone can say for sure how things will go for you, but I find surrounding myself with positive stories thoughts and HEAPS of foreknowledge are key in staying as much in control and as little stressed as possible. So on that note I can tell you that my dd1 was born at 33wks 6ds with absolutely no breathing or health issues at all, she was 4lb. Her circumstances were different because it was not because of iugr she was early but by that stage there is a very good chance all major bodily functions will be doing as they're supposed to. The only 'issue' if I was to call it that was that she was VERY sleepy for the first few weeks and I don't mean normal nb sleepy. That just meant however that I bf every feed I could wake her enough and nasal-gastro fed her ebm any feeds she wouldnt wake. She was ready to come hoe after 10days if my memory serves me!
As far as iugr goes I had drs thinking it was a possibility this pg at 20wks. I did plenty of research and went onto a very high protein diet. I've had followup ultrasounds since and each time baby has improved on where she sits on growth charts, so much so that my last ob visit a week ago she was measuring spot on for dates!
Also yes mention steroid injections to your Dr if it looks as though induction will be necessary although they should recommend it to you anyway. I only got the chance to get 1 of the usual 2 shots for dd1 but there's no way of telling how much it helped.
Ill be thinking of and praying for you and your little man
