If she's hesitant to go back to the hospital - and I can understand why, given the previous reaction - get her to ring Health Direct. They'll most likely send an ambulance. Since when is bleeding during pregnancy something to be brushed off?!![]()

Your poor friend. I agree it doesn't sound right at all!
I am surprised and a little shocked they are waiting so long. I would think under the extreme circumstances they would deliver bub sooner than later.
I had a classical c-section for #6 and I was told that I would never be able to have a vaginal birth again because the risk of a uterine rupture is to high.
When pregnant with #7 I really tried to find someone to do a VBAC but no-one would even entertain the idea.
I am thinking of them and hope it all goes well.
One of the signs of my uterine rupture was fresh blood - she needs to get seen to straight away!
hi, just poking my head in and adding that a 'classical csec' which is where the cut goes from top to bottom is a contraindication for VBAC, the chance of uterine rupture is really high, and i havent heard of anywhere actually allowing one (a VBAC with a classical) to happen. the LUSCS (where the cut is on you bikini line) is ok for VBAC (as the lower segment of the uterus is formed differently to the rest of it), so i know im thinking worse case and really horrible things, and i would think the hosptial would have considered this, and been checking it out (the fact bub is still ok is a good thing, as bub being unwell is normally the first sign)
let me know how she goes!! I hope it gets worked out and bub and mum are ok!
ADDIT~ sorry i had only read half the posts before replying, so have just repeated what everyone else has said. =)

Well she is heading to the other hospital soon, (thank goodness!!!) I linked her to this thread, and now though she is a bit scared, but hopefully this hospital will help her more than the other one!!!!
Thanks everyone for your help and support!! I will hopefully have a happy goo-ey birth announcement by tomorrow!!!!!
oh gosh, Hope she and bub is ok! Thank goodness she is heading in to the hossy.
@ the first one, that is deplorable!
Thanks SB, we are thinking of you friend and hopefully everything goes smoothly xxoo
Sorry for the short response earlier I was in the middle of feeding!
my thoughts are with your friend..
also being a young age they seem to treat you more like a child then a patient believe me i know... your friend needs to stand her ground and tell them she isnt stuffing around and that she needs help asap or even alittle comfort wouldnt go astray!!
pls keep us updated!!
Thinking of your friend. I hope she and her baby are both okay.
I don't understand how the hospital could ignore that amount of bleeding![]()
How is she SB - do you have any updates?
Yeah i have been stalking for updates and hoping her and the baby are ok!!!

Well last night she called "hospital B" the one she hadnt been to yet, and they told her that with the bleeding she needed to go to hospital, but that she needed to go to the OTHER hospital again ("hospital A")!!!!! :O
So... she ended up actually calling an ambulance, and on the way to hospital A, her contractions were coming too close together, that the ambulance decided she needed to be at the closer hospital.. the one she wanted to go to .. Hospital B!!!!!!!
So its was about 11:30 by the time she got there and got seen, the last message i have from her is that she is waiting, i have sent one to her this morning and i have no reply, so i am thinking she is either resting or possibly recovering ??? She may have needed a GA, (assuming she went in for a csection last night)
So just waiting waiting waiting waiting for some news!! I do have to go out this morning and for some reason Tap talk doesnt work on my phone anymore, but i have Beema on facebook, and i will let her know any news and she can post (if thats ok!!)
Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and care!!! I really hope its all good and i hear something soon!!!!!
No worries SB, I am so glad she called the ambo's but also sad that she had to just to be taken seriouslyit really concerns me that our medical system has treated your friend like this.
I hope everything has gone smoothly for her xxoo
I so hope that they listened to her! And that both her and the baby are doing well. My sister was 15 when she had her first and I've seen the difference age makes when it comes to being looked after. Fingers crossed for that text.
SB, I truly hope that everything is ok with your friend and her bub.
I know how frustrating and upsetting it is when some Drs/Obs just won't listen or take the time to investigate a pregnant mothers concern, especially when the evidence is so obvious
Glad to hear that she called the ambos. Hopefully you will receive some good news soon.
My thoughts and prayers are with your friend & bub.
Just thought I'd check in for some news... Hope all is well SB!
