haha.. I wee'd and poo'd having DD and we had a laugh about it at the time. I didn't care. Knowing that the baby feels like a ginormous poo until it actually crowns I was saying "I can feel it.. it feels like a poo" and the OB said "well there's some of that too"... and quickly disposed of it. I just laughed and said oh, sorry about that! LOL. The wee squirted everywhere!! I thought it was just part of my waters as the OB was helping DD's head out, but DH assures me it was wee.

and FWIW.. she was a spontaneous labour and my prelabour was vomiting not pooing so there was no cleansing done for me! I did have the runs for 2 days before having DS tho and didn't wee or poo during labour.

Worrying about it tho can be counterproductive, coz as I said before.. the baby feels like a giant poo and if you're worried about actually pooing, you might be inclined to hold it in and not let the baby out! Just go for it.. you won't care... the midwives/OB won't care. Just laugh it off if it happens

Forgot to mention too that I pooed in the shower when I was labouring with DD and DH took a photo of it going down the plughole

If you're in a place where you're embarassed in labour, your not in strong enough labour lol. Once in full blown active labour, you don't even care who's in the room while you pee with the door open. Labour takes your full attention that you don't notice. Seriously.
Kelly said it perfectly, my labour was very quick and with no warning, so things happened that were "embarrassing" should it have happened at ANY OTHER time, I have no idea how many people were in the room, as DD was almost 7 weeks early there were quite a few "extras", but I didn't care and didn't even notice the extra people, it was only when I asked later that I found out that there were about 10 people in the room

But hun they have seen it all before, it is completely natural and normal and at the time you won't even realise.

Raven at taking the photo!! Priceless!!!

I lost my show on the bathroom floor. It must have dropped out while I was walking to the toilet. The midwife saw it and told me it was a lovely show! and then cleaned it up. I was on the toilet while this was going on.

I also vomited on a different midwife and I'm kind of happy that I did. She took my gas away. I told her I was going to and she got a basin, but she took it away again just before I chucked.
