Thanks for the suggestions gals! Yeh.. it usually does come down after about ten minutes or so to normal and is usually much lower at home, but it will tend to go up and down for the half an hour they have me in there at the monitoring centre- as they usually have me on the monitors for bubs as well, and then something in the environment usually makes it zoom up again, like me stressing that the monitor has slipped off the baby (coz I dont want it on there too long), bubs is not moving quick enough and I want food or drink to get bubs moving but the nurses have deserted me and Im wondering when the hell they are coming back.. or Ive dropped my mobile and cant get in touch with family, or I can hear the other monitors which are too loud and stressing me out.. etc etc
ALWAYS something stresses me in that room! So yeh, it just goes up and down whilst Im in for monitoring!
I had a very strong opinion about only wanting 1-2 ultrasounds at max on bubs for this pregnancy, but because of this situation, I now have to have one every time I go in and I find the whole thing very stressful - and of course, this is when they do the blood pressure profiles, so obviously my BP just tends to fluctuate throughout the whole time Im in there..
The first time they found high BP was during a scan of baby - and ever since I have had to go back in for blood pressure checks at the same time as having scans on the baby.. the very thing that stresses me out!!
