I used the big tena ones found they had more padding i also went through about 10 packets in 2 days so bring alot i also usedeven when i stopped bleeding purely for the padding down there
I'm glad I read this as it certainly is left out of all the details my friends have given of birth, although I am feeling a little nervous now Have to say its great to be able to feel nervous about it all though!
it's normal to feel a bit nervous. and i know what you mean - i was giving a couple of friends (who dont gave children) the unglamourous details & one of then said she'd never heard of it before & that her sister with 2 kiss mustn't have had it. i'd never thought about it before pg either!
Just updating for anyone who comes across this thread in a search later on.
Liviam - I had read somewhere else about the adult nappy pants (tena incontinence pads) and as awful as it sounded I got a pack. Soooo much better than hospital undies and I found for the first day or so after birth I didn't have to worry about leaking. I put a maternity pad in there as well and a stack of hospital pads. Meant I'd change the pads every hour or so but only had to change the undies a couple of times a day. Also meant more padding on my poor bottom It all just adds to the sexiness of having just given birth doesn't it ha ha.
I can't believe that after giving birth 6 times I have never thought to use the incontinence undies, which I can only imagine would be perfectly padded.
I preferred the Kotex maternity pads to the Libra ones. I did buy the Libra goodnights to use for bedtime and would use 2 at a time. Once the first week or so of crazy bleeding was over, I switched to regular and cheaper pads.
