Wow that looks fantastic.
wow it looks great! some very intimate scenes....just the trailer made me cry let alone the movie
Who's going to the screenings?? I can't wait to hear Dr Sarah Buckley and Rhea Dempsey speak at the Melbourne screening, Oct 3rd! Will buy the DVD, too - this is the kind of birth I want all my friends to have![]()
wow something different but i love it
lol DF thought this was just too weird
not too sure about this.. i kinda find it a little hard to believe. would have to watch the whole movie i think. great in theory though. :-)
Spiritual Midwifery has photos of a girl having an orgasmic birth, there's NO doubt from her expressions what's happening!
Looks a great film, must try to see it

They have done themselves in with the mainstream by having a title like that but oh well I get their sentiments. It does happen, and in fact a theory as to why women have the g-spot is to trigger an extra oxytocin release when the baby is descending down the birth canal to make sure baby is born. But so many women are having medical, drugged labours they wont be able to experience it. I have had a drug-free birth, and it did get intense but not as bad as on the drip and I would describe the experience as being on a huge high... I am not afraid of birth, I love it, can't wait to experience it again when I am ready.

Oh wow. I can't say I physically found giving birth as pleasurable as an orgasm but absolutely yes, yes, yes to all the things they say in that clip. Birth is such an amazing experience and I felt like I could move mountains after the birth of my son. I am so glad I felt it and didn't shy away from it. I feel very blessed that I wasn't scared of labour and was able to enjoy it. Looks like a fantastic movie.
Are you going to have screenings Kel? I would love to organise one for Shepparton (as well as see it for myself)
Consider me theory in practiceNot JUST a theory!
I came across this when I was researching when I was pregnant, and made so much sense to me, and DF.
nfortunately, it wasnt to be...unless you call the magical tingling warmth of an epidural orgasmiclol
Kelly, are you going to have copies of this for sale too ?
There is a screening in the Blue Mountains soon, but my client is due very close to then so I'm not sure if I can make it and would love to see it. So I was hoping that you will be getting copies to sell![]()
if it was only that easy
Ummm, it's not a fantasy film - people really do have these births and I'm not talking out of my @rse...I had one that was really quite nice![]()
Maybe you could benefit from watching the entire film? I'm looking forward to watching it in Melbourne.
I don't see what's wrong in aiming for something approximating orgasm in birth - even if it doesn't get to be one of these births, the closer the better, no?
My birth has turned me into a birth junkie.
I love, love, LOVED my labour and birth experience.
