    Pre-labour?

I think I've read about this before, but I cannot remember where or what I read...

I'm just wondering if everyone experiences pre-labour, or even early labour 'signs' like losing mucous plug, more intense + painful BH, etc... or can you just go into labour all of a sudden, with no warning? What was your experience?

I haven't had any pre-labour symptoms (still not due for a week), so does this mean I'm still ages away from labour?

thanks for the link...I've been wondering about this cause I've got a wedding an hour and a half away 3 weeks before due date and I'm a bit iffy about being so far away from my hospital/OB/doula in case I go into labour early etc...will go have a read!

I was in pre-labour for a week. 10 days before DS came I was already 2 cm dilated and had lost my mucous plug.

I had warning with both my girls, so it was a HUGE shock to the system when I had none at all with DS.
No extra mucous, nothing! Trust me, I was looking!!
I did have 2 contractions the morning before, but still felt pretty normal with nohing else for the rest of that day.
Oh, the 5 hour start to finish labour was just as much of a shock! My last was 30 hours with about 15 - 20 hours of pre labour & white gluggy CM.
DD1 had a show for 2 days before.

I had no waring with my two boys, bam, waters trickled, into labour. This time I'm having a few niggles, so it's all new territory for me

    Good thread Sterla!!

I've had prelabour signs for about 2 weeks now.... lots of niggles, period pain cramps, tightenings etc.... so I sure hope labour isn't too far away for me now

I've also heard many ppl who don't get any signs of prelabour and just go straight into labour

I know what you mean MrsC about not wanting to be away from your house especially so close to having bubs!

My il's keep asking when we are going to go to anglesea and I just keep telling them we are waiting until after bubs is born as I have fast labours and so don't want to go to any other hospital except the one i've been attending!

I've been having a thicker than usual discharge for a few weeks now and keep getting painful BH that become regular then taper off, so who knows I could be a few weeks off still or I could go any day now!

Hmm....seems everyone is just different and we can't predict when it will be! Bugger!!

I've been having more BH and period cramps for the past couple of weeks and the last few days diarrhoea TMI!! Not cool!! Hope this doesn't go on for 5 more weeks or something!! Just my luck it will.

More TMI, this morning I had ewcm, what's with that?? I asked DH if he wanted to make another baby
