I'm a size 6 and my DS was 6lb 5oz so spot on for me.
My birth weight was also 6lb 4 oz

Sorry to dash your theory but I wear a size 9 and my two babies were 6lb11 and 7lb7. I'm glad I didn't keep to the theory - a 10lb bubba OUCH!!!

I love these theories- helps me pass the time

OK so the theory is (I have pregnancy brain so I hope I got it right!) your baby will be no bigger than one pound bigger than your shoe size (but smaller too). So size 7 shoe can expect a baby anywhere up to 8lbs.

So with a size 6 foot, I can expect a baby no bigger than 7lbs if your obs is correct! That would be lovely! So many people (who have no medical background) have told me I'm going to have a huge baby . I'd love to prove them wrong.

Yes Peekay, that's exactly right. See my second post for some rough stats on how often this theory has been true for BB girls.

My shoe size is 7 and DD was 8lb 9oz (a few days early)
My SIL is size 4-5 and her DS was 7lb 1oz (10 days early)
My mum was size 8 (her show size went up to a 9 after having us kids) and I was 8lb 12oz and my brother was 9lb 4oz
My Grandma had size 9 and her 6 kids were all over 11lb (all born naturally at home with a midwife)!!!

Sorry, doesn't work here (well, it sort of did for my mum).

am a size 11 or 12 and my kids were
    ds 1 6lbs 15 oz
    dd 1 7lbs 8 oz
    dd 2 7lbs 3oz (three weeks early)
    dd 3 9lbs 2oz
    dd 4 9lbs 11 oz
    ds 2 8lbs 15 oz.
thankfully none were bigger then my shoe size although they kept telling me my last 1 would be over 10lbs thankfully they were wrong.

    Frazaled1971,
i hope your ticker is ut of date and you're not 53 weeks pregnant, otherwise you might give birth to a 13 pounder ;-)

So that was my problem! LOL I was a 9 - 9.5 before my boy. He was 10 pound 2 ounces and I had an intense PPH which meant I was ICU for the first 2 days.... Interestingly my feet are still my pregnancy size 10. Do they ever go back?
