Oh it's just too hard to work that one out.
However for me - since every single girl in my family is born on Wednesday (and apparently full of woe!), I could tell WHAT they would be according the when I went into labour!
I'm 32 weeks today, and OB has said to be prepared for an early birth.
A work colleague's wife is 40 weeks today....and it is getting me to think: What is the average week and day that these beautiful babies have decided to join us?
Some of my friends have been 37 & 5 days; 37 & 5 days; 36 and 1 days; 31 & 2 days.
I'd love more of a clue for planning???? Anyone?

Oooh, good question! We're talking about spontaneous labour right, because inductions/c-secs I'm guessing will skew the results in favour of earlier?
I've gone into labour both times a few days before 40weeks. I always, in my mind, aimed for a pregnancy to go until 42 weeks - so that I wasn't all disheartened when I didn't go close to 40 weeks (that never happened, but that was my mindset). I'd suggest that, to in your mind plan to go over, but have your bag packed from 37 weeks.![]()
I always thought 40 weeks WAS the 'average'... thats why they put 40 weeks as the EDD, even though we all know that from about 37-38 weeks to 42 weeks is 'full-term'.
So my final answer is 40 weeks
ETA: Jazz was born at 40w1d, I went into labour on the Sunday, she was born via emerg. c/s on the Tuesday.

first time the average is 41+2..
funny how very few doctors like you to go over 41+3...
#1 baby was 41 weeks and was a boy, he was born on a Friday.
#2 baby was 39 weeks and a girl, she was born on a Thursday.
#3 baby was 39+4 and a boy, he was born on a Sunday.
#4 baby was 40 weeks (born on due date) and a girl, she was born on a Wednesday.
I heard that during thunderstorms you are more likely to go into labour...sounds silly but I heard it at a BB birth talk with.....can't remember her name....great midwife....someone help me out!
Well, my ex work mate finished up work on wednesday at 36wks, had her baby on the friday! A boy!
My gorgeous lil man was 41wks (exactly 7days overdue!) and was born on a Saturday
My first I went into labour at 40+6, birth ended up as an emergency c/s on a Sunday.
My second I went into labour at 40+9, birthday also ended up as an emergency c/s on a Saturday.
Babies used to be born at full moons and high tides... now they are born on Tuesdays and Fridays.
3-4% will be born on their due date. 40% in the two weeks before the EDD and 40% in the two weeks after. It's all based on mathematics and averages when no baby's growth and readiness, or a womans cycle or readiness, is average.

All of the females in my family (and I'm talking about me, my sister, my mum, my cousins, aunties etc) have been born on a Sunday, including Nina. Emily is the only one that wasn't born on a Sunday, she arrived on a Thursday.
