Question What did u use to bring it on...

k well im looking into herbal mainly like rasberry leaf tea (thanks heva for correcting me lol) n i heard lavender in the bath also

oh n sorry this is to maybe start contractions or help my body soften up for it..
    so what did u use??
ive heard the nipple stimulation but i think i might use a breast pump for that lol it seems to hurt n make them sensitive when i do it..

the tea will help tone your uterus, but it doesn't bring on labour. Not sure about lavender.
You're still quite early yet, so perhaps just waiting and resting might be your best bet at this point.
Don't pump if it hurts you - dont' want sore nipples before you've even started. Stimulation can help, but it doesn't need to be productive. Your DH could probably help you with taht...

Well I hate to say it, but I tried everything I could think of, (short of castor oil, you don't want to do that ) and she was still 10 days days past her EDD. I really do think they just come when they are ready.

But for the record, I tried - walking, sex, nipple stimulation, acupuncture, RLT, EPO, eating curries, eating pineapple... there might have been more, i can't remember

I remember how it feels to be waiting & waiting. Maybe the best thing to do is just try & enjoy this last bit of your pregnancy. Or make plans to go & do something special, that might work too - in my case it was DD1's dance comp on Saturday & I went into labour on Friday

I didn't really try much but I was 10 days over. Sex/orgasm was painful so only did that once. I also went for a few very slow walks and that's about it. For a number of reasons it turned out that the 10 days over were a blessing in disguise I say let bubs come when ready

I just posted a thread- "How To: Encourage Labour Naturally?"
    You should check it out!

Also nipple stimulation isn't recommended without the help or supervision of a midwife as it can sometimes cause unesassary strong, deep contractions that are painful and aren't needed for normal labour...

Hopefully you will find my thread useful & Good Luck!

Well I tried everything and at 13 days over did do the castor oil (I still shudder at the memory) and 4 hours later I had contractions albeit prelabour went on for a further 3 days didn't really go anywhere and I ended up being induced LOL.

Hehe, 13 days... I might have been tempted too

I didn't mind the RLT either, I had mine with a teaspoon of honey.

Have you thought about acupuncture? My acupuncturist wouldn't do induction acupuncture until I reached 40 weeks but he did some other stuf for me beforehand to help with back pain etc & was great.

I was determined to VBAC and did everything, and I mean everything and the things that I think worked for me to pre-labour and get to 3cms dilated(even though I never went into labour after 14 days overdue!) were acupuncture with Chinese herbs and the stretch/yoga class I did afterwards. Each Thursday after my sessions, something happened, cramping, lost my plug, ctxns. etc. Definitely recommend it although as Fleur mentioned most won't do induction acupuncture until you are 40 weeks. Try to remember too that babies come when they are ready, yes we can do all we can to prepare ourselves and try and help things along but I really believe some of that is coincidence and that bubs want to choose their own birthday and that it could still be 3 weeks away, and trust me, going 14 days over I know how hard it is to be patient and want that baby out. Good luck with it all xoxox

I think Alan said that you take the recommended daily dose orally AS WELL AS inserting 2-4 each night. Good luck- hope it happens soon

Clary sage oil, EPO pessaries, acupuncture/reflexology - only ones that I haven't really seen mentioned.

RLT doesn't taste fabulous, but once you're up to 6 cups a day like I am, you don't even notice the taste anymore. Dark chocolate helps it go down real good

I did the clary sage oil, RLT, and EPO pessaries. All not the kicest things to do, I didn't think anyway...not sure if it help DS come, he came about 4days after his due date I think. I did have alot of prelabour though and by the time I got to hospital, I was 8cm dialated, so manybe it all helped me have an easier birth, but not actually bring it on, kwim??
RLT doesn't taste great, though I didn't find it totally repulsive either. I added a little honey to mine. I was drinking about 1ltr (at least) a day by your stage in pg! I used to make it, let it cool enough and just gulp it at once.
