All of mine have been ruptured at the time of crowning. I had a slow leak with my first though, I noticed that after getting up out of bed thinking i was busting for the loo.

Last pregnancy I was in bed, had gotten up about half an hour to an hour before to use the bathroom... I woke up with an extremely shocked look on my face and a quick jump off my new bed!
LOL! My story is almost identical! I heard a 'pop' and had a weird feeling so went to the loo - nothing. I went back to bed and within an hour I felt the flood gates open and rushed to the ensuite so I could make my mess there

It was 1:50am and i was in bed, DP just got to bed i rolled over to cuddle him and then rolled back over and felt a small trickle, thought i was wetting myself so i jumped up and as soon as i stood up i felt a gush then another but still thought i was wetting myself. Went to the toilet and peed. Then i went into the loungeroom to get my antenatal card and as soon as i got to the kitchen i had a big gush. I was leaking waters my whole labour.

In bed or getting out of seems popular! I slept with a pad on and a mattress protector from 37 weeks with both my babies, just a bit paranoid. Also drove around sitting on a waterproof pad to protect my car seats! Hands up anyone who's worst fear was having them break in a store or walking down the street?

My Boss had her waters break sitting in her office at work! They had a fan going in there for weeks trying to dry out the carpet.

DS1 - Getting out of bed at 3am to go to the loo and I felt something inside like a rubber band breaking and thought I peed myself. Went to the loo, went back to bed, started having contractions. At midday the next day I was having a snooze on the couch when the phone rang and whoooooshka! The rest of my waters came rushing out like someone had chucked a bucket of water on me. Got to love a breech labour

DS2 - Broken during labour by my midwife's fingers. They asked me first, as it was in my birth plan not to have ARM but I was a VBAC and my labour kept stalling. It did the trick, as I went from 5cm to 10cm in 10 minutes and DS2 was born 1 hour after that.

I had a S&S about 10 in the morning, about lunchtime DH & I went to do a last minute grocery shop before DD came. Was wandering around Woolies and had a bit of a leak, ok thought that was done, kept shopping as we were nearly finished. Got to the last aisle, felt a bit more of a trickle, busted open the packet of pads in the trolley, grabbed one and ran (ok shuffled fast!) to the toilets.

Poor DH went through the checkouts then came to the toilets and had to send someone in to find out if I was ok.

The big gush didn't happen until the next morning when they were moving me from one bed to another to go to theatre.

I was in bed and felt a trickling and thought 'great - I have finally lost all bladder control' so waddled to the loo where it dripped out for ages. I swapped pants and went back to bed, where it happened some more. 3 pants changes later I finally figured out enough to stop wearing pants and crab walked over to the birth bag by the front door with a towel held to my crotch to get a pad. I then sat on a towel until DH came home to take me to the hospital. I was 35ws lol

I had just eaten dinner at home and started feeling sick so went into my room and was leaning over the bed trying to decide whether I needed to throw up or not... Then CRACK!!! My waters broke and took my mind right off feeling sick!

Second time round, they broke in the birth pool about 10 mins before DS was born. Much less mess!

lol, My sister was mopping the tiled study (nesting) when she thought she'd wet herself.

One of my male friends was sitting at McDonalds when a lady's waters broke while she was walking across the lunch rush filled dining area. She was wearing jeans so it was unfortunate for her as it was so obvious there was a large wet stain around her crotch. Lucky she had friends with her to help. the crack up is that when the young male worker came out with a mop someone told him what it was and he fainted

In the bath at the hospital - I didn't even realise until I started pushing and wondered why my waters hadn't broken yet!
