What an awful thing for your friends to go through. Perhaps they could start by pursuing the head of the hospital and then the relevant health minister in your state if there is no response. Failing that take it to the media!

How tragic. I pray your friend can fight her way back from this. The most difficult thing is that you place your trust in the hands of other people, and as sad as it is, humans are prone to make mistakes.
