What a great story Alan... I am racking my brains now trying to work out where it is you live in QLD, the only place I know thats in the rainforest and cut off by a river is the daintree... which I love BTW, Mmmmmm if you are up there somewhere I would love to know...
Awesome! Thank you so much for sharing.
Not all the births I attend are scary, most of them are quite normal.
Green Tree Frog
That birth was in the Daintree (Cape Kimberley). I am currently in a small town called El Arish which is close to Mission Beach. Next week I am going to Townsville as I have 5 women there due to give birth in the next 2 months.
Wow Alan, what an amazing story. I'm impressed how as a first time mother, she just trusted her body.
Amazing! Thanks for sharing this with us...
Great story Alan! You're amazing at handing unplanned and more complicated situations, even more of a testament to how professional and nurturing you are. I know I would have no fear with you at my own births, I would truly know I am in safe hands
Love your stories, keep them coming

Hi Alan,
I'm not only interested in the location you were writing about...I had that sussed as I live over the river too (about five minutes from Cape Kimberly). You could have been writing about me! I wanted the home birth here too but I am also breech and there are enough hurdles as it is living here. I watched in amazement as you offered your services to another lady in NSW, who had been turned down by her local hospital 10 minutes up the road and I feel I would be in safe hands with you. I have decided to go the hospital route in Cairns after much deliberation but wish I had found you earlier. By the way, my biggest fear, the ferry stopping at midnight was unfounded, as it will open for any emergency 24 hours. My family was more than a little worried about me being stuck over here. Thankyou for sharing this story. I'm up with a very actively kicking baby so it's funny to find your post out of the blue.
Hi Murph
There is still a chance that your baby will turn. Check out the spinning babies website. Also google rebozo they may give you some ideas how to help your baby turn.
Hopefully you are now in bed getting some sleep
