Congrats again LR, a trully awesome birth!!
Just had to mention that name choices sometimes play more of a part than we think.
DD's name is AVA, same forwards as backwards... she was breach (Dr at hosp pointed this out) also if she wasn't a girl her name was going to be Tyler.... she was born at home on the TILES and dad's workmates nicknamed her Tyler.
A little creepy at times just how FITTING the name can be...
CONGRATS AGAIN YOUR AWESOME!

Totally awesome. The way you speak of your moment of clarity - it sounded as though heaven or some divine force descended upon you and you saw the light at the end of the tunnel! Very spiritual..... I will store your birth story in my mind amongst other admirable things for inspiration for my birth in a few weeks time.
Welcome to the world Daisy - what a cool story for her to tell when she grows up!!
Wow Lori, that is about the best birth story I've read!

You are one awesome woman Lori!! Amazing birth story, so beautiful - you did such an awesome job and for all intents and purposes you did it by yourself!! No wonder you feel fantastic. That moment of clarity you had sent a shiver down my spine. Daisy should be very proud to have you as her mum. Enjoy your babymoon.

Wow! What a beautiful story, Goddess of the Garden!
Sounds like your body told you what to do, it sounds lovely and instinct-driven!
BAHHHH but I can only imagine how MAD I would be if my MIL was involved in the birth like yours was. Because she is evil, and everything she touches becomes evil [/rant]
Congratulations and welcome, Daisy, Baby of the Backyard!
Wow I can't believe so many of you read this. Thanks everyone- your replies mean a lot.
In answer to the q'sHer name was always to be Daisy, but how very appropriate... dh keeps telling people it was because she was born halfway between the house and the back shed
.
Ds was a little bit upset and confused, poor kid. Hadn't prepared him to see mummy in pain like that. But he did think the ambulance was pretty cool.
I don't know what my next doors thought, but the lady who lives two doors down sent her dh to our place to talk to my dh while he was waiting for the ambulance, to see if they could help, which was lovely. I ran into her yesterday and she said Id scared her off having kids forever (oops).
Thanks again everyone for reading. I knew you lot would be proud of meI love having people to share this experience with- it stretches out the high just that little bit more
