Cassius- Yes those injections are so worth the agony you go through for the first 30 seconds. I was literally screaming my lungs out, took about 10 mins for DP to comfort me but then it was instant relief. They can last for about an hour to about 4 hours mine lasted only 90 mins. My back is still swollen from where they did it but i would do it again because it does work.

Thank you ladies. I am so proud of myself and realise now i am a lot stronger than i give myself credit for.

I want to take the opportunity now to thank you all for being so supportive and being so lovely throughout my issues with dealing with pcos, my issues at the beginning of my pregnancy and being so supportive at the end. I could not have done it without the support of this forum. My DP is very thankful i have you all to turn to.

Congratulations Your story brought back vivid memories of my labour with DS and the pain of a posterior labour, as well as the water injections. I agree totally, they are excruciating whilst going in but worth it for the pain relief. I was told they would be equivalent to a bee sting!! (I don't think so) Mine lasted about an hour the first time, and about a half hour the second time. I was told to wait until they pain I was feeling was at the worst it could be - but how do you know that when it is your first labour!!!!
