Mel, isn't it amazing knowing that you were the very first person to ever hold your baby? I know that in most cases the doctor only holds the baby for a couple of seconds before it's placed on the mums chest, but I just found it so special knowing that I was the very first person to hold him

yup it is That is part of the reason why it was so special I think. It wasn't someone else handing him to me but it was me, guiding him into the world. Something that I will always remember.
