the long awaited arrival of Asha Maisie (really long)

Had my ob appt on the monday at which point i was 6 days over by my lmp and 4 days over by the first scan i had. had been feeling anxious about labour not starting yet and i found myself getting really wound up so we decided to talk about induction, an internal was done to find i was 2cm and ripe and we booked our induction for the wednesday (26th) i was to come in that morning at 7:30 to have my waters broken and a drip..
over the next few days i was really anxious umming and ahhing over whether id made the right decision to have an induction, thinking what if i had waited longer and it happened naturally i was starting to think i might just chicken out lol.. also in the few days leading up i started having intermittant mild contractions that mostly came at night.. on the 25th i noticed i was having them during the day a few here and there but by the afternoon they had stopped so dp and i decided to go for a walk to see if we could kick things off.. we went for a walk around the block and i was feeling quite upset by this time because it didn't seem to be bringing things along but after i got home and sat down they started coming every 15mins ish and getting stronger to the point i needed to stand up and sway with them untill they went..
At 9pm i stood up to go to the bathroom and there was a big gush that just didn't stop, dp looked at me and said whats wrong? i said i either wet myself or my waters just broke lol... after it just kept coming i decided it probably was the waters, dp got me a towell and i went to have a shower.. while in the shower dp rang the birth centre and they told me to come in as soon as we could... while in the shower i remember feeling a mixture of excitement and fear i kept thinking omg i wont have to have the induction at all but as well i started thinking i dnt know if i am ready to do this.. i got out of the shower and dp and my dad got everything ready so we could go to the hospital, luckily its only 5mins away and i only had to have one contraction in the car which at this point although i thought they were bad they really werent haha...
when we got to the hospital they took a urine sample and put me on the ctg to see how things were going. throughout the whole pregnancy we had had problems with ctgs and bubs hb being too high, this time was no different but everything else looked good so they told me for now i could stay in the birth centre.. they showed us to our room but because i thought id be allowed to go home before things heated up with broken waters and i wasnt all the stuff was still in the car so dp and i went for a walk to go and get it.. on the way the contractions were coming a little closer together and getting more painful but i was still laughing and joking and smsing my aunt so can't have been too bad lol...
after we got back i was trying different positions to try and get comfy through the contractions i stayed leaning over the head of the bed with it tipped up for a while dp tried masaging me a few times but i just couldnt cope with him touching me during the pain.. after a while i decided to get in the shower and i stayed there for quite some time probably until around 12 when i buzzed for the midwife because i thought i was feeling pressure and was worried i needed to go to the toilet. the midwife came and did an internal but informed me that i was only 2 1/2cm but that i was fully thinned out now, i was absolutely gutted!! she also informed me that we needed another ctg just because of the heartbeat..
she hooked up the ctg and tried to get the sensor you can walk around with to work so i didn't have to stay on the bed but after a while of messing around with it she couldnt get it to work and i was semi comfortable on the bed anyway so we decided just to stay there and do it.. bubs hb was still high but during contractions it was decelerating not badly but enough to get me really upset and enough for the midwife to keep the ctg on and stay with me.. after a while it stopped doing it and she let me off at which point i decided to try the bath...
dp started running the bath and i waited till it was ready before leaving the bed, it took me a while to get there and getting in was really difficult once in it was nice but i found it didn't help much with the contractions.. by this point i was getting really loud during contractions id been moaning for a while through them but i could feel myself getting louder and louder but at that point i didn't care... i started feeling pressure again and we buzzed for the midwife, she assured me that when i needed to push i would know it and it was just the baby desending i decided to get out of the bath and into the shower which was much more helpful..
the midwife came back at around 4am for another internal and ctg by this point i was starting to doubt myself and thought if i'm not alteast 4cm i am not going to get through this pain medication free.. she did the internal and i was 8cm!!! i had another ctg same thing happening at this point it all gets a little hazey i am not sure exactly in what order things went between here and around 7am lol.. at some point during a ctg the midwife decided it was time to call the dr because her hb was going down too much too often and when the dr came and looked at it he decided we needed to do a special test to see how much oxygen the baby had at this point dp and i were really scared and thought the worst might happen...
the midwife brought in a wheel chair, at this point i had started grunting and really felt like i needed to push the midwife examined me and said i was 9cm and not to push, she tried to help my cervix over the babies head so we wouldnt have to go but it wouldnt move so she helped me off the bed, wrapped me in a blanket and wheeled me down to a different room where they attatched me to a ctg and explained that the dr was going to ***** a tiny hole in the babies head and take a small amount of blood to see how much oxygen she had.. they performed the test and told me she had atleast an hour of good oxygen and that for now they could leave me to continue the labour with just the midwives...
i was now really fighting the urge to push i was blowing like the midwife had tought me when i was not dilated enough my body started pushing involuntarily and they told me if i wanted to push to give it everything and really push because little pushes like i was doing accidently would just tire me out...
the midwifes changed over and for a few minutes we had no one i told dp to buzz someone because now i was really ready to push, someone else came in and we told her and she got the midwife that would be handling the delivery who started to get things ready and i started pushing... the midwife and dp were really encouraging telling me the progress i was making with each push.. i was semi reclined on the bed grabbing the bed rails and dps hand for leverage. the midwife got me to put my foot on her side to open up my pelvis and let her through which seemed to help... As her head came out i felt a bit of bleeding or something and they said i had torn it ended up being a second degree tear and a labial graze as well.. they told me she was already looking around haha.. a few small pushes and her shoulders were out followed by one big push and she was out only 26 mins of pushing in total.. they put her on my chest and she looked straight into my eyes it was amazing...
the cord stopped and they clamped it and dp cut it, i had a managed third stage to the syncto was given to me after this and the midwives helped me deliver the placenta.
the staff even let us go back to the birth centre to stay where there was a double bed and it was private so dp could be with me over night
