Renee, such a beautiful story. I laughed at the bit about seeing the contractions on the screen and thinking wow I'm doing great, I was exactly the same. Little did we know what was to come hey! I'll never forget that pain. I developed an infection as well and they did the same with Maddie, taking her to the special care nursery overnight. My infection was due to too much time between my waters breaking and Madeline actually being born (not to mention she was in meconium), was that the same for you? And you are SO not a drama queen, we've all been there, well most of us, and we know what its like!!!
