Even though diet may play a part, it doesn't always. I was a pretty fit and healthy pregnant lady and i got PE. My diet is pretty good. Sure i have the odd bit of crap, but mostly homemade good healthy stuff.

PE is really a bit of an unknown. It is a range of symptoms that lead to eclampsia. Some women have all the symptoms, some just have a few. It isn't really known what causes it, although it is often suggested that poor diet is related. Another suggestion is a reaction to your partners DNA.

Don't be too hard on her. I imagine she must be feeling a little anxious about being in there again.

    P.S. Lets have coffee.

Thanks girls, thanks for your input Falguni i know eclampsia such an 'unknown' so scary when it causes such issues and premiture birth.

It's just so furstrating as to why this should happen again, they've been through enough already. And maybe me in my naivety is assuming that everything can be fixed with a bit more awareness and prevention processes. I know that's not the case but i'd love it if it was.

My other thought is that some bodies and pregnancy just don't mix and maybe her body is one of those. I feel for her and my brother so much.

But after what they have been through they are such strong amazing people, taking the positives out of everything that has been placed in their path and are confident in what may happen in the next few weeks.

I recived an update this morning though and she was in a local public hospital (had private care for the birth not to cover anthing like this) last night and possibly going to be there for quite some time. But she had vomiting and headaches over night so she has been transferred to Monash (she knows that place sooooo well) and i'm sure there are many mixed feelings about being there.

So we'll she how she goes now. She's 5 weeks further than she was with my nephew and that's a lot in growth terms.

Thanks girls i hope i don't sound like a nasty sil because i'm not trying to be in any way, i'm just frustrated

Would love to catch up for coffee, not sure if we'll fit it in before Chirstmas though. Early next year maybe? How much longer have you got in Aus Falguni?

You don't sound like a nasty SIL, just a concerned one who wants the best for her family.

Early Jan sounds good. I'm living in Frank's town at the moment.
